Certification Details
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips.
Job Details
- Specialty in ED Holds/Tele.
- Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
- Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).
- There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions).
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor is the ED charge nurse.
- Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units as needed.
- Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.
- May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration. Will not be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
Job Requirements
- Strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
- Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters.
- Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.
Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a) Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
- Rotate in with the perm staff on holidays.
- No call required.
Additional Details
- Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
- First to float, could float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert.
