Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn).

Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS) within 48 hours of offer.
Must pass a Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided with first day instructions).
MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS
Schedule Information
Shifts are 12 hours, 7-7.
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.
Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor.

Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.
Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night.
Scrub Color: Navy
Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.
Vents: NA
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.
IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.
RT 24/7: Yes
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.
Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D
