What you will do

Drive the overall adoption of engineering standards and growth of our Centers of Excellence across BSNA organization. They will do this by creating partnerships, interfacing with our innovation and

product development teams to help streamline processes and establish standard and robust flows between our sales teams and the COE Network.

  • Drive the technical contribution of the sales team across multiple verticals. ​

  • Execute strategies focused on sales growth, technical and operational excellence, and team development. ​

  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Leader, Regional Operations, Service, etc. to formulate and execute a successful tactical and strategic plan to consistently exceed sales goals. ​

  • Demonstrate strong leadership experience and a track record for technical sales excellence. ​

  • Build a customer-centric culture across the Field Development Engineering team. ​

  • Provide teaching, coaching, and mentorship to develop excellent sales engineers. ​

  • Lead change in a fast-paced, aggressive growth environment. ​

  • Demonstrate business diplomacy and the ability to handle difficult situations. ​

  • Lead the regional team to drive the technical contribution for Go-To-Market success. ​

  • Stay aware of market trends and transitions.

How you will do it

Driving Adoption and Growth

Establish ties to all BSNA sub-regions across JCI’s product and offering, to support solutions and pre-sales engineering to the respective sales teams and win with our customers. Help communicate awareness of the COE deliverables & capabilities and better enable the enterprise sales support by expanding global COE network. Standardize process improvement activities to help identify quick wins that support building long term strategies that drive sales growth.

Manage seamless connection of COE Global Network to Global Lifecycle Solutions

To be the bridge between COE Sales Support Network and the Buildings, Technologies, and Life cycle solutions business by providing timely feedback on commercialization of products and services. Interface to products (GP) team as it applies to product discounts…etc. Help prove proof of concept for the sales support of new products and services. Prepare the COE’s pre/post-sales engineering teams to support all new product and innovation. Track involvement via SFDC to ensure it is shared with the greater team. In conjunction with the COE and BSNA commercial and all engineering teams, develop and maintains the long-term sales support strategy.

Standardize and Deliver

Partner with Cost Competitive Centers and allied activities around that. Lead and manage teams to drive consistent process through the COE Network to ensure simplifications, repeatable process, efficiencies, and workload balancing are scalable and implemented throughout the enterprise. Manage sales support optimization efforts by being an advocate for COE capabilities, understanding issues and opportunities by product type and leading the execution of sales support optimization programs. Identifies best sales support practices and facilitates the propagation of these practices throughout the business. Continually performs evaluations to identify future opportunities for improvement and barriers to achieving strategic and financial objectives.

What we look for

Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing a team.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees/management.

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem solving capabilities.

  • Ability to own, drive and run new projects.

  • Understanding of Pre & Post Sales Engineering practices and able to drive consistency in complex global situations.

  • Familiarity with IT systems as they relate to financial functions and operational areas.

  • Excellent PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Willingness to travel (30%).

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar discipline from an accredited university.

  • Strong understanding of Johnson Controls products and offering across Building Industry segments.

  • Knowledge of JCI products and offerings.
