Job Title: Restaurant Shift Leader 


The Shift Leader's role is to ensure excellence in safety and high-quality standards, while leading and guiding the team to provide outstanding service. This position will supervise daily operations, tackle conflicts, and ascertain team members are fully accountable for their individual tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strictly maintain and enforce safety and quality guidelines.
- Ensure coworkers adhere to proper hand washing and sanitation standards.
- Systematically conduct food safety checklist.
- Lead and mentor team members during conflicts and maintain a role model status.
- Imbue a sense of responsibility in team members for "Own your zone" tasks.
- Regularly conduct zone walks to ensure tasks are being accomplished.
- Monitor the deployment chart to ensure right allocation of team members.
- Handle back-of-house (BOH) shift change operations.
- Undertake assessments of different zones.
- Plan and allotment of break timing for team members.
- Post daily targets and utilize the SWS form.
- Make sure the utensils and back-of-house areas are clean.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- A minimum of 1+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a food service or retail setting with profit & loss accountability, scheduling, and team member growth.
- Must secure and preserve ServeSafe Certification within 45 days of employment.
- Effective leadership skills to mentor and supervise team members.
- Exhibited ability to resolve conflicts and foster a positive workspace.
- Proficient in enforcing accountability among team members and ensuring efficient task completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety and quality norms in the food industry.
- Systematically carry out food safety checklists and guarantee compliance with standards.
- Efficient organizational skills to manage shift changes and zone assessments.
- Ability to review deployment charts and effectively schedule team member breaks.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to comfortably work in temperatures ranging from 0 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees or above.
- Capability to be on feet and move around the restaurant for extensive periods of 12 hours a day.
- Have the physical capability to move objects weighing 50 lbs for up to 10 feet.
- Be able to balance and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs for distances of up to 50 feet.
- Ability to comprehend and respond to team members’ and patrons’ requests in a noisy environment.
- Capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle objects.
- Must possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and aptitude to adjust focus.

Pay Rate: 
Minimum wage varies based on job location and is determine by each locale.
  • Colorado – 14.42-17.82
  • Denver – 18.29 – 21.04

Benefits Include:

- Eligibility for 401K after one year of service and accumulating a minimum of 1,000 working hours. The employee must be 21 years or older to participate.
