Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Thornton, COEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:I am seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in providing high-quality speech and language services to students from PreK-12. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and staff to support each student's academic and social success.Key Responsibilities:Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in students.Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), to meet students’ communication needs.Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings, focusing on articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate communication strategies into the classroom environment.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy methods and goals to ensure ongoing improvement.Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations for appropriate services, interventions, and classroom accommodations.Provide training and resources for teachers and parents to support students’ communication development in the classroom and at home.Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and implement evidence-based interventions.Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Colorado SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student success.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive school environment and access to therapy resources.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
