About Blake 10 NICU Patients The 21-bed level 4 NICU provides in house emergency nursing service to both full term and premature infants born at the MGH Vincent Obstetrical Service as well as emergency transport in service for infants born at Partners Wide nurseries and the New England Region. RN's provide proficient, compassionate nursing care for patients through Patient Care Team approach. RN's ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient. Competencies preferred include blood transfusion, IV admixtures,IV insertion, ECMO & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (AHA). Will train for those that do not have these competencies. About Blake 10 NICU Team - Encouraging nursing leadership including Nursing Director and unit-based Master’s prepared Nursing Specialist. - Excellent collaboration and partnership. - Unit-based Peer led group to greet, engage, and provide ongoing support to new team members. - Opportunities to advance your practice include resource nurse to lead the day-to-day activities, preceptor to new nurses and students, participation in Collaborative Governance Committees, clinical recognition program/ladder. Qualifications - BSN is strongly preferred. - Current licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts. - Minimum 2-years NICU RN experience required, surgical experience preferred. Position requirements - 36-hours per week, day/night rotation including weekends and holidays.
