We are seeking a registered nurse with peritoneal dialysis experience interested in being a team member in an independent dialysis clinic. This unique hybrid role includes patient care and nursing education/quality & safety. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Patient care: The successful candidate will deliver nursing care including admission screening, peritoneal dialysis training, cycler training, catheter care and maintenance, monthly visits, clinical troubleshooting, and collaboration with many team members to devise a care plan. - The nursing administrative responsibilities include upholding CMS standards and participating in monthly quality standards defined by CMS and the independent MGH clinic. - Participate in ESRD Modality Education for patients with advancing CKD. - Will share remote on-call responsibilities for patients under the care of the ambulatory clinic. Education/Quality and Safety: - Provide consultation services for the inpatient setting during operational clinic hours. - Build and maintain nursing policies and procedures related to peritoneal dialysis. - Build and deliver educational opportunities related to peritoneal dialysis to clinic and inpatient nurses on an as-needed basis. - The nurse will lead initiatives to optimize Epic for a growing peritoneal dialysis clinic. Schedule: - 40 hours/week, shift lengths day shift, 10 hours. 75% patient care, 25% quality/safety/education - Rotation, remote on-call for the ambulatory peritoneal dialysis clinic About Mass General Hospital Mass General Hospital is a world-renowned hospital that provides the highest quality care to patients.
