$10,000 Sign on Bonus Schedule: 36 hours, days/evenings; 3 x 12 hour shifts. On-call requirements. The Certified Surgical Technologist is an Integral member of Surgical Team. Primary responsibilities include: 1. Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. 2. Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by:3. assembling supplies, equipment and instrumentation required for the procedure 4. performing counting procedures in concert with the RN circulator 5. assisting with placement of sterile drapes 6. providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure 7. maintaining an organized sterile field 8. ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed 9. preparing sterile dressings 10. Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas. 11. Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of room for subsequent patients. 12. Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities. 13. Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students. 14. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information. Our employees call it home. - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Surgical Technician Certification required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. - 1 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred. - Must present and submit Certification of Graduation, as follows: - ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program - NBSTSA- Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting - Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards. - Basic computer skills.
