    Job Requirements
  • Critical Care Experience -- including titrating drips, caring for intubated patients, & caring for patients on a ventilator (RT available for help/resource).
  • Caring for patients on BiPAP/CPAP (RT available for help/resource).
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: manager to clarify per position
  • Call Requirements - manager to clarify per position
  • Weekends: manager to clarify per position
  • Weeknight Shift - 2 RNs (2100 to 0700) in house & 1 RN on call
  • Weekend Day Shift- 2 RNs in house & 2 RNs on call
  • Weekend Night Shift- 1 RN in house & 2 RNs on call

  • Unit Information : PACU (dept 70477)
  • Number of Beds - 10
  • Number of Staff – 24
  • Type of staff : Day/Evening Shift – 1 Charge RN & up to 7 staff RNs
  • Patient Ratios – Phase 1 PACU— up to 2 patients per RN; Phase 2 PACU- up to 3 patients per RN; for patients holding for rooms upstairs, ratio subject to acuity level of patient/level of care ordered.
  • Type of equipment - GE bedside Monitors
  • EMR – Meditech
  • Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable ? (Y/N) – none currently
  • Typical hiring profile
  • Skill Set Most recruited for: RNs
  • Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
  • Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
  • Previous Meditech Experience
  • Previous PACU Phase 1 Experience at a Trauma Center Level 1 or 2.
  • List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Phase 1 PACU recovery - includes up to q 5 min vital signs & medicating for pain with prn q 5 min med orders from Anesthesia. Phase 2 PACU recovery (including discharge education & discharging patients home in the afternoons, evenings, nights & weekends).
  • Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
  • Scrub Color - navy (also option to wear Hospital OR scrubs)
  • Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
