Incoming/Receiving Inspector position is within the Quality department for the review and inspection of purchased material. The inspector shall verify conformance of incoming materials by performing various inspection types on a wide array of commodities of material. This position will focus on the inspection of mechanical fabrication/machined parts, and may also include circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, electrical components, etc. to determine conformance with applicable drawing specifications and other industry quality standards. The inspector shall also review and approve AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, issue non-conformance reports, assist with stock purges, support metrology, and interface with various departments.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School/GED and at least 1-2+ years of experience in similar inspection role
  • Experience with inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies using common inspection tools which include calipers, micrometers, GO/NG fixtures, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, CMM, and optical comparator instruments
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with Military and Industry specifications and standards
  • Ability to review and verify conformance and traceability documentation
  • Ability to review First Article Inspection reports
  • Ability to interpret and inspect to technical specifications and drawings
  • Ability to navigate and organize information within a Quality Management System Database
  • Inspection of Printed Wiring Boards per IPC-A-600, Inspection of Circuit Card Assemblies per IPC-A-610
  • Experience writing new programs for CMM (Zeiss Contura) and optical comparator instruments (Keyence IM-8030).
  • XRF testing

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $54560 - $87340

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
