GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provide exemplary customer service including customer communication, reporting, timely processing of quotes and orders, scheduling work with vendors and customers and internal service providers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares quotes and convert quotes to orders.
  • Processes quote changes and maintains appropriate records.
  • Monitors outstanding orders for progress and ship dates.
  • Manages Status Reports and Orders Waiting for Action report.
  • Responds to customer inquiries by phone, fax or e-mail.
  • Assists as needed to resolve product, pricing, and service problems/discrepancies.
  • Generates service orders; schedules service work with McCoy Services.
  • Coordinates product schedule with appropriate McCoy personnel and customer; maintains schedule report.
  • Responsible for tracking and resolving problem ticket notices.
  • Communicates with team members on any overages, shortages, damages, back orders and return merchandise.
  • Coordinates customer storage/delivery activities.
  • Occasionally meets with crews at 7:30 am to discuss daily activities.
  • Help mentors others
  • Backs up receptionist desk as needed

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Office furniture experience preferred
  • 3-6 years’ experience in a related field

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; some college preferred

OTHER/PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of MS Office required
  • Knowledge of scheduling and inventory systems preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to maintain effective performance when faced with time pressures, competing priorities and deadlines
  • A history of taking prompt action to accomplish objectives and achieve goals beyond what is required
