Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining the relationship with customers, which includes: building and cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and generating new business. This role serves as a client facing Subject Matter Expert for SAM’s 3D Reality Capture/Building Information Modeling (BIM) services.

  • Lead the organization’s business development activities in order to achieve annual new business revenue and growth goals with a “hunter” mentality
  • Grow SAM’s sales pipeline by cultivating new leads and relationships with potential clients
  • Provide SME level consultation to AECO (Architectural, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) clients for leveraging BIM and geospatial services to support their infrastructure and operations
  • Work with the Department Managers (Doer/Sellers) and Company leadership to create and execute sales plans
  • Serve as a liaison with operational teams to ensure that client needs are understood and supported
  • Formulate business development plans and activities to increase company presence in defined markets and achieve annual sales target objectives
  • Track and report on the status of the Business Development pipeline and sales activities using Salesforce
  • Travel to networking/industry events, conferences, and client sites as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the company’s strategic goals
  • Execute the duties of the position in an ethical manner and with a high standard of integrity towards all internal and external SAM stakeholders

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (discipline in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other closely related field of study), or equivalent education and experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience selling 3D scanning, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), or BIM services
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Capable of working both individually and as a part of a very dynamic team of professionals
  • Above average attention to detail, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 30-50% regionally and nationally
