We're looking for a highly driven individual with experience in business tax preparation and stellar communication skills to assist our customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products.
The successful candidate will handle the preparation of complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and rules related to business and individual tax returns, coupled with substantial experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience in business tax preparation and comprehensive knowledge of tax laws, demonstrated by at least 3 years of recent experience in preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients/customers per season for compensation, using commercial tax preparation software.
- A minimum of 2 seasons of personal Tax Preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting for cash compensation, highly preferred.
- Willingness to commit to a schedule of at least 20 hours per week (minimum 4-hour shift increments) during the tax season.
- Experience in bookkeeping with a focus on tax preparation, highly desired.
- Prior experience in preparing Business Tax returns for service industry customers, highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Possession of an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working understanding of Circular 230.
- Technological proficient; sound knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Excellent customer service abilities - adept at interacting with customers via video and audio tools in a professional, amicable, and confident manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, research capabilities, and determination.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
- Willingness to secure a dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit's security standards and a quiet workspace.
Leadership Responsibilities
This is a remote, customer-interacting role; you will be using our advanced video communication software, Smartlook, to engage with customers.
You will aid TurboTax Business customers who are in the process of completing their tax returns or have delegated their tax returns with:
- Tax advice
- Full Service Business return preparation and signing
- Inquiries on product/software
- Tax calculation
- Filing of tax extensions
You will facilitate high-quality customer interactions and experiences that inspire confidence, using deep customer empathy and your considerable knowledge and expertise in business tax preparation.
You're expected to leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide the right answer to customers using everyday language.
Application of defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and preparation queries are expected.
You will document customer interactions and consistently work towards meeting company key performance metrics. Participation in pilot testing, project involvement, and experience validations, as required, is also a part of this role.
