Job Responsibilities:
- Furnish patients with personal care at their place of residence, including hygiene maintenance tasks such as bathing, clothing dressing, and grooming.
- Aid patient mobility and transfers, prioritizing their safety and welfare at all times.
- Oversee the delivery of prescribed medications in line with directions from medical professionals.
- Keep track of critical health indicators and promptly report any variances or issues to appropriate healthcare officials.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients in addition to their families, fostering a personal connection.
- Uphold a neat, secure haven for patients ensuring a controlled, safe environment.
Basic Requirements:
- Appropriate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations with a strong emphasis on maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in limited meal preparation and ability to perform light housekeeping tasks as required.
- Completion of the New York State Health Department HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Proven basic literacy and numerical skills.
- A minimum age requirement of 18 years.
