Job Description

 

Siena College invites applications for the position of Office Coordinator in the School of

Science Office. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Assistant Dean of the School of Science, and provides a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • General office coordination
  • Assist faculty and staff with all purchasing; track and receive all orders
  • Maintain and analyze all budgets for the Schools of Science, its academic departments,

and centers.

  • Process and track all grant requests and assist the Office of Sponsored Research and

Grant Compliance.  

  • Handle all travel requests for faculty and students and process travel expense reports. 
  • Provide support and problem-solving assistance for students, faculty, and administrators

in the School of Science and assist with other duties as assigned.

 

Salary:  $21.41/hour

Job Requirements

 

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required, an Associate degree is preferred.

Proficiency in all MS Office Professional Suite applications is also required.  The successful

applicant should have well-developed oral and written communication skills, and excellent

organizational and analytical skills.  1-2 years of professional experience with Banner Enterprise

Resource Planning system is preferred.  Additional desirable qualifications include excellent

attention to detail, customer service experience, ability to balance multiple projects, and

flexibility to learn new methodologies, technologies, and systems. Specifically, applicants should

be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
