Radiation Therapist
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Radiation Therapist to fill an opening with a hospital in Abilene, Tx.
Daily Responsibilities for Radiation Therapist:
- Responsibilities include applying ionizing radiation to patients as prescribed by the physician, following departmental standards, state guidelines, and company policies and procedures
- contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit and enhances the quality of patient care while supporting the institutional philosophy
Required Qualifications for Radiation Therapist: - ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiation Therapy
- Associate of Science in Radiation Therapy or Associate in Radiologic Science with Radiation Therapy Certification and, after 1/2015, an Associate degree with Radiation Therapy Certification
- Possess a basic understanding of Radiation Oncology technical and theoretical components. An institution accredited by ARRT must award certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum Education/Licensures/Qualifications: - Minimum Education
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
- Minimum Work Experience
- 1+ year of experience required
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- ARRT registered (R) (CT)
- CPR-BLS
- Texas Medical Board-MRT
- Radiologic Technologist - Texas
