Senior Manager Marketing Strategy will help create and initiate strategies in support of Lumen’s enterprise business marketing campaigns. As a dynamic and strategic-minded member of the Marketing Strategy team, your expertise and creative thinking will be crucial in shaping Lumen’s position across markets served and achieving Lumen’s business objectives. Overall, you will play a pivotal role in developing comprehensive marketing strategies and supporting their successful implementation.
The Main Responsibilities
Creates and implements innovative marketing strategies aligned with Lumen’s overall business goals and go-to-market objectives. Identifies target audiences, positioning strategies, and key messages to effectively reach and engage customers.
Represents Marketing Strategy team on cross-functional marketing program teams, providing strategy support for prioritized marketing campaign investments and helping ensure go-to-market plans are complete, well thought out and achievable.
Works closely with other stakeholders in the marketing team and across the business to understand market, competitive, and technology research and analysis. Utilizes these data to develop actionable strategies that enhance Lumen’s competitive advantage and drive growth.
Strategically supports and manages Lumen’s Marketing Strategy Intake process, collaborating with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer success and product management, to align marketing initiatives and priorities with overall business objectives.
Enables communication plans to ensure there is process and entrance criteria clarity across the organization for marketing strategy intake process.
Maintains and updates Lumen’s Marketing taxonomy that defines core marketing functions and ensures common language and consistency of understanding across the Marketing Organization.
Maintains key internal assets that communicate Lumen’s Marketing Strategy, and how Lumen’s brand is messaged and positioned in the market across paid, owned and earned media.
Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other Marketing metrics to inform and make recommendations on future marketing investments and opportunities for improvement.
Provides Marketing Strategy support for important ad-hoc and executive projects as needed.
What We Look For in a Candidate
8+ years of working experience preferred in relevant B2B marketing field.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
Proven experience in marketing strategy development and implementation within the technology industry.
In-depth knowledge of relevant market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in marketing strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong team player with an ability to plan, influence and execute in a highly matrixed environment.
Ability to react and adapt to changes in business priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Familiarity in Scrum Agile is preferred and valuable
