Description: Propulsion Inlet and Flowpath Definition Engineer - Level 3

Lockheed Martin is looking for a senior level Propulsion Engineer to continue our 75 year tradition of developing new air-vehicle systems. This position will support the Propulsion competency. Responsibilities may involve advanced weapons system integration, installed propulsion performance, propulsion system modeling and propulsion system installation. The candidate will expect to be working extensively with other Aeronautics engineering disciplines and propulsion system companies. Travel in support of the program efforts may also be required. Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable. Specific experience with propulsion inlet (intake) or flowpath definition, development, and integration is highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires a DoD security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

-- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical Equivalent Engineering discipline considered

-- Prior experience with Propulsion inlet system design, integration, or analysis

Desired Skills:

Prior experience with Propulsion flow path design and definition

-- Prior experience with Propulsion aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation, and supporting mesh generation

-- Prior experience conducting experimental testing of inlet systems

-- Prior experience designing mechanical kinematic systems

-- Prior experience leading a technical team through a propulsion development effort

-- Experience with CATIA v5

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 6 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
