Georgia Employer CIVIL ENGINEER in Douglasville, Georgia
This position is responsible for analysis and design, contract administration and management of county transportation projects, and review and monitoring of the road improvement elements of development projects to ensure compliance with county requirements.Individuals in this position must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications and be familiar with the Georgia DOT specifications, project bidding and contracting requirements. The individual must also be familiar with federal, state and local regulations and requirements applicable to federally funded and local transportation projects.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with major field of study in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, construction management or related disciplineKnowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field with seven years of related relevant experience may be considered.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredRegistration as a Professional Engineer in Georgia or ability to obtain within 18 months of employment.Possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver\'s License (Class C) or higher and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.Salary based on experience, plus a full benefits packageResumes may be attached, but a resume without a completed application will not be considered.\"The recruitment, selection, appointment and promotion of employees shall be in such a manner as to promote equal employment for all persons without regard to race, age, color, creed, religion, ancestry, sex, national origin, physical handicap or political affiliation.\"
