The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Territorial Financial Systems Analyst/Administrator for the Southern Territory Headquarters, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Job SummaryServes as a technical and administrative resource to the Southern Territory for all computerized financial systems actively in use; maintains current knowledge of the same; tracks the progress of the implementation of financial systems software; develops and maintains training materials; provides training to financial system users; creates and maintains current procedures of data back-up and forms ordering; develops and maintains procedures for reporting financial system deficiencies.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the generally accepted principles and practices of accounting. Knowledge of the concepts associated with financial systems and related technologies. Knowledge of the general operation and function of computers, systems, and related technologies. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Ability to plan, design, prepare, and troubleshoot a variety of accounting programs and to provide assistance with various financial systems problems. Ability to learn, develop, and prepare training materials for all financial systems and lead in training. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform routine and complex mathematical calculations. Ability to input data into a computer. Skills in customer service and problem analysis and solving. Ability to quickly adapt. Ability to work well with and as part of a team. Ability to learn and develop detailed knowledge of topics and maintain such. This job requires hand movement, finger dexterity, reading, and writing. Education and ExperienceBachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, management information systems, computer science, or a related field and Three years of experience preparing and automating progressively responsible financial system reports with extensive experience utilizing a variety of financial systems. or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Constant amount of physical effort required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time; rare to occasional amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting to 30 lbs., pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching at least 30% of the work time. Ability to travel for extended overnight trips. This job is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, or hazardous conditions.
