Completes routine scheduled maintenance services on automobiles and trucks as directed by manager or service consultant.In an efficient and productive manner, performs automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair order for which technician is trained.Oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, and advanced repair and maintenance services, electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, drivability diagnostics, etc. are expected to be learned and performed.Work with, and train lower level technicians.Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares them for and completes digital vehicle inspection.Test drives vehicles and prepares vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance.Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs other duties as necessary.Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None):NoneRequired Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):High School diploma, GED or Technical school graduate/certificationMust possess a valid driver\'s licenseExperience:5 years minimum of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance and the need to maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scoreAbility to prioritize and deliver work on time.Have the ability to mentor and train lower level technicians to develop these technicians and help them be successful.Preferred QualificationsASE Certifications (A1 - A8) with Master Technician designation or the equivalent combination of technician certifications and ASE certifications.ASE certification L1-Advanced Engine Performance Specialist is preferredState inspection certificate where applicableAC 609 CertificationWork EnvironmentMay experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.This position involves standing, walking and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifiting and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)Must have own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the...
