JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.JAS USA Business Process Manager evaluates the effectiveness of current business processes, strives for innovation and continuous improvement. The goal is to increase productivity, add value and provide strategic support to all business units across JAS USA.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Proactively identify and prepare business cases for opportunities to improve processes in conjunction with process owners. * Guide the overall strategic direction of business process and system improvement opportunities, including governance and refinement of unified processes, reporting standards, and communication of findings. * Foster a partnership approach to working with the other business units across the organization and key business stakeholders. * Responsible to lead the testing of systems functional and technical enhancements and communicate status updates and/or results to the BPM Director * Adhere to data and systems governance, data integrity, and data security guidelines. * Provide accountability and management oversight on training sessions for business processes and system improvement subjects. Lead post-mortem assessment and sets parameters for monitoring implemented process and system improvements. * Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * The incumbent will indirectly supervise one or more employeesQUALIFICATIONS: * Excellent organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees * Skilled in devising effective solutions to problems * Thorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite * Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines * Self-motivated, able to work on a team and independently * Able to perform the essential duties of this position without posing a \"direct threat\" to the health or safety of self or othersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or G.E.D. required * B.A. or B.S. degree in Business Administration, Management or Engineering related focus preferred * Master\'s degree preferred * Five (5) plus years\' experience in Freight Forwarding industry required * Sound understanding of quality management systems preferredENVIRONMENT: 90% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be up to 50% required in support of the position\'s responsibilities.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
