Job Title: Laboratory ManagerJob Duties:This position manages personnel; maintains equipment and facilities; handles ordering and storage of supplies and chemicals within the laboratories; oversees and conducts day-to-day activities in the laboratory including general laboratory duties and assuring a safe, clean and collegial work environment. This position will be responsible for ensuring equipment maintenance and calibration as necessary and will assist with the technical design of laboratory projects and methods development if needed. This person will assist in the preparation of new animal use procedures and participating in animal care and feeding, receiving, inventory, bookkeeping, managing hazardous waste, and radiation safety procedures. This position also instructs staff and students and will ensure proper training in lab techniques and safety procedures. They will oversee the recording and archiving of all computer-generated data relevant to manuscripts and grants.
